Hello

I’m Darren

What I do

I build companies, products, and user experiences from concept to code and every step in between.

UX/UI Designer

I love designing intuitive, highly interactive, rich user experiences based on best practices, familiar design patterns, and a hefty dose of innovation. From product reqs to hi-fi mockups, I’ve never met an impossible UI challenge I didn’t love.

I code. A lot. I’m a full stack engineer, from nuts-to-bolts NetOps to a bevy of programming languages. I’m comfortable building everything from the database to the middleware to a feature rich front-end.

Entrepreneur

There’s nothing more rewarding than having an idea and building a business around it. I enjoy building companies or organizations from the ground up.

Visual Designer

A worn sketchbook, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, and a good old text editor (I often design in code) are the tools of the trade. I use them to design beautiful things, from marketing collateral to brand/identity design. I’ve even designed a billboard or two.

Manager icon

Manager

While meetings are rarely in my top 10 list, working with people is. A collaborative, enthusiastic, ultra-productive team happens when their manager believes in the individuals who are a part of it, encourages them, helps guide them, fights alongside them, and challenges them to do their absolute best every single day.

Life enthusiast icon

Life-Enthusiast

I’m at my very best when I’m challenged, when I’m learning something new, when I’m driven by a shared vision, working beside good people who inspire me. Life is rich and beautiful and hard work can make it even more rewarding. I wake up every morning looking forward to conquering the difficult and celebrating the win.

Portfolio

Sometimes the work just needs to speak for itself.
You can even take a look under the hood and read some case studies from previous projects.

Resumé

When you absolutely have to know the exact dates, companies, and responsibilities, a resumé fits the bill.
So here it is…
